With Survivors, Always
Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) is a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence. Every October, organizations and individuals unite across the country for national efforts to uplift the needs, voices, and experiences of survivors.
With Survivors, Always is the DVAM 2025 theme which is meant to be a partnership with survivors toward safety, support, and solidarity.

Being free from all types of violence and abuse
Having adequate food, safe housing, and resources to live
Having basic human needs being met
Taking care of social, spiritual, and emotional wellbeing
Support
Being there for survivors, without judgment or expectations.
Checking on survivors and asking how you can help
Solidarity
Taking action by standing up against violence
Giving your time and resources to local program
Advocating for survivors through community connectedness
Do you know someone who may be in a controlling or abusive relationship? Or do you know someone who is leaving or has just left a domestic violence relationship?
If you answered yes, check out the Survivor’s Guide and consider sharing with them. This guide contains detailed information on recognizing all forms of abuse, accessing counseling, legal aid, and other resources, and finding inspiration to light the path toward a brighter future.
Knowing there is help available is essential to a survivor of domestic abuse. Contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or TTY 1-800-7877-3224 for help.
